SEGACHEM was established in 1995 as Segachemie, focusing primarily on the Paints and Coatings Industry in Singapore.
However, with the change in subsequent ownership and the re-focusing of our business to the Chemicals sector within a broader region, decision was made to formerly rename it to SEGACHEM in 2011; while retaining part of our history and formally endorsing our involvement in the Chemicals business regionally.
SEGA has its origination from a good Japanese friend and mentor, as this is part of his family name. He had provided suggestions and support when the Company was just starting out and that had helped to pave our ways in the first few years.
As we moved towards the 21st century and beyond, we reviewed and questioned ourselves, what SEGA would mean. It should be something that defined us, be our cultural identity and be our working motto. Thus, SEGA evolved to being:

Engaging
Growing
Agile
Steadfast – We need to be Financially strong and stable to ensure that there will be continuity in our business. Our Partners and Customers will need to have faith in us and find us reliable, such that financial obligations are met, orders fulfilled and zero risks foreseen. With these, we need to be dutifully firm and unwavering, hence, Steadfast!
Engaging – Being the middle person in most of these business transactions, we play a facilitative role in dealing with our Principals, Business Partners and our Customers. However, we will need to ensure that all Business collaborations remain engaging with total involvement such that a win-win situation is reached.
Growing – We are growing as a Company, in line with the growth of our business partners economically. However, we will also need to constantly learn and improve ourselves, while remaining humble and humane and growing in our knowledge and experience.
Agile – With change being the constant currently, we need to be agile and be in the forefront of what is happening around us. Further, we need to be reactive to the market, the political, economical, social and technological changes and corresponds with the relevant stakeholders.
